Daniel Casey

Violin & Viola

Daniel Casey is a former student of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) who moved to Queensland to pursue his studies in viola under Patricia Pollett. Daniel has a strong passion for ensemble music, participating in a variety of ensembles since the age of six, such as the Young Voices of Melbourne (YVM), Gondwana Voices, The Australian Voices (TAV), Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO), Melbourne Youth Orchestra (MYO), and a myriad of other vocal and instrumental ensembles. In his final year at VCASS, Daniel made it into the Top Class and Top Sounds concerts for his VCE performance and composition, as well as having his vocal jazz sextet win first place in Generations in Jazz’s division one small vocal ensemble. 

 

Daniel has a strong focus on creativity and musicianship in his teaching and aims to foster a love and appreciation for music. He understands the extraordinary positive impact a musical education can have, and hopes to give his students skills that enrich their lives regardless of their career path.
