Brisbane soprano, Gabrielle Diaz, fell in love with performing at a young age and since
then, has endeavoured to develop her craft at every possible moment. Under the
guidance of esteemed Lecturer in Voice and ANATS President (Australian National
Association of Teachers of Singing), Shelli Hulcombe, Gabrielle graduated from a
Bachelor of Music in Performance (Classical Voice) at the Queensland Conservatorium
of Music, Griffith University in 2020 and is currently continuing her studies in a Masters
of Music (Vocal Pedagogy) where she is focused on evolving her skills as a voice
teacher.
Gabrielle is a two time recipient of the QCGU Donald Penman Prize for Voices in
Combination Award and this year had her performance debut with Opera Queensland,
performing in the chorus of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. Gabrielle is also engaged as a
member of the Seven Soprano’s, performing in the Brisbane Festival Street Serenades
and UQ Opera by the Lakes. Gabrielle notably performed the role of Musetta in Puccini’s
La Boheme in the QCGU 2021 Val Machin Scenes.
Gabrielle is a passionate educator of voice and is inspiring young musicians in her
growing private studio and as a voice teacher at Mansfield State High School. Gabrielle
places great importance on creating a safe and welcoming space for people to explore
their voice and develop their craft, whether it be for professional pursuits or for
enjoyment. Outside of the studio, you can find Gabrielle performing as her favourite
Disney princesses at children’s birthday parties across Brisbane with her business
Princess Parties Australia, or instructing Pilates at various Studio Pilates International
locations.
Gabrielle is excited to join the Mansfield Musicworx team and work with you to discover
your full potential as a singer and performer.
